If you're having trouble visualizing how a man's heart can be pierced by a StringRay's spine, this might help:

Spine of a StingRay:

The Adventurous Ones of the Earth have lost a shining star. Or rather, a new star has just appeared in the heavens, and its name is Irwin.

In other news, on Saturday September 2nd 2006 the SouperKlawBrazzz discovered a Leopard Shark (triakis semifasciata) on the ocean-side rocks of Topanga State Beach. The throat of the creature had evidently been torn out by some unidentified predator. Although Leopard Sharks are a common food for larger marine mammels, including the white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) the KlawBrazzz seem to suspect foul play of the humanoid variety. No arrests have been made at this time.
